Due to the severity of the recent COVID-19 situation in Germany, please note that hotels and facilities in Germany are now only accepting EU-approved vaccines produced by five manufacturers: BioNTech/Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, Johnson & Johnson, and Novavax. Furthermore, the European Commission has announced that from Feb 1, 2022, only vaccination certificates issued within the last 9 months will be valid. If vaccination certificates are issued more than 9 months before arrival, holders of those certificates will be considered unvaccinated. Many states in Germany have updated their hotel check-in regulations, and these may change at any time, so it is important that travelers pay close attention to local regulations. To view the current restrictions for each state, please go to the official website of German government: https://www.bundesregierung.de/breg-de/themen/coronavirus/corona-bundeslaender-1745198
