Built at the beginning of the last century, this charming property is situated next to Vienna's Westbahnhof Railway Station and the popular Mariahilferstrasse Shopping Boulevard, Vienna’s largest and most important shopping street. The subway intersection U3/U6 is also close to the hotel, so visitors will have easy access to the different places in the city without hassles. Viena-Schwechat airport is to be found some 22 kilometres from this historic establishment. This family-run hotel offers a choice of spacious rooms with a nice décor and complimentary W-LAN internet connection. Each room is fitted with a TV and a large work desk, ideal for those travelling for business and need a room adapted to their needs. The onsite facilities include a garage for guests arriving by car.The Hotel Frstenhof is one of the last really old family-owned Hotels in Vienna ( Family History). Built at the beginning of the 20th century, they take care of it in the third generation. It is ideally situated for all means of public transportation at the corner of Vienna's main shopping street Mariahilferstrae, and opposite the western railroad station Westbahnhof. What they offer is personal service different from the superficial "hotel-friendliness". In the hotel you are no client and no VIP, you are the guest. Of course, they offer rooms of all kinds. There are small singles or doubles without shower and toilet for those who like to spend their money rather on a good glass of wine or a "Wiener Schnitzel" instead of paying for an expensive hotel room. Naturally, there is a bathroom on each floor available without any fees. Do you prefer to have your own shower(bath)/WC. They offer rooms of two sizes. They all are equipped with telephone, minibar, and cable-TV. On request, they set up a modem connection for which you don't need a special adapter. Besides this, the owner is a computer freak. They serve breakfast-Buffet from 7 am to 12 am - a special service for the nightowls. In addition there are quite some restaurants for any taste near by. And by all means - they will be happy to assist you at any time.If you arrive from the A1 (western motorway), you go straight ahead until you reach the Guertel. There you turn left (direction "Westbahnhof"). Right after you cross Mariahilferstrasse you see the hotel on the right side. There is a bus-stop 15m (450 feet) behind the Hotel where you can stop to unload your car and check in. Unfortunately they have no garage. but there are 3 parking facilities nearby.
