A 2,5 hour tour of the museum on the Island begins at the Mandela Gateway in V&A Waterfront.After a 45 minute ferry ride,our group take a tour of the former maximum-Security jail,and a 30 minute bus ride around the Island.Robben Island is where former late political prisoner Nelson Mandela and others developed their concepts for post -apartheid South Africa concepts that led to the overthrow of a brutal regime and the development of the one of the world’s most liberal democracy.
