Two hours’ drive to the west of Hanoi, Vietnam’s Ba Vi Mountain is a spectacular location, where locals grow a variety of crops on the verdant hillsides in stunning terraced landscapes. Nestled in this spellbinding location, Duong Lam Village is the only one of its kind in Vietnam listed as a national heritage monument. Here you will meet with a native of the village, who will guide you through the area, explain its history and illuminate the various traditions underpinning daily life. You will take a leisurely bike ride past ancient temples and pagodas, dating back nearly 400 years and housing some of Vietnam’s most exquisite collections of Buddha statues.
