Moody, Jr. Moody built a fortune in some 50 entities, including insurance, banking, hotels, newspapers, cotton, railroads, ranching and others. At the time of his death he was among America's 10 wealthiest people. He established the Moody Foundation and his daughter established the Mary Moody Northen Endowment, charitable foundations which today support environmental, educational, social service, and historical projects.
