Once considered part of the Lower East Side, the East Village has become a unique part of New York City with its numerous historical buildings, unique architecture, and ethnic foods to name a few. This tour of the East Village will highlight many of these sites from the history of the area to the present day. This has been a key location for numerous immigrants during the past two centuries and offers interesting sites to see. The tour concludes in Tompkins Parks where two key statures will be highlighted.
