See some of Manhattan’s most iconic architecture on this tour of NYC’s Flatiron District!
We’ll start with the obvious, the Flatiron Building, known for its untraditional triangular shape. You’ll learn about the building’s design challenges and its place in history in what was once called New York’s Toy District.
As we walk along Fifth Avenue, we’ll stop at Madison Square Park, where we’ll spot turn-of-the-century skyscrapers like the original Met Life Tower and its gothic-style, golden-capped neighbor, the New York Life Building.
We’ll then find a perfect place to take in one of the most photographed skyscrapers of The Big Apple, the Empire State Building. You’ll hear stories about this towering structure’s impressive feats of engineering and its battle against the Chrysler Building for the title of “world’s tallest building”.
We’ll wrap up our tour exploring lively Union Square and its own collection of historic buildings and from where you can continue your NYC adventure!
