Both Museum locations are closed on Wednesdays . The Main Museum on 5th Ave. Is normally open: 10AM – 5PM Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday; 10AM – 9PM Friday and Saturday . The Met Cloisters in uptown are normally open 10AM – 5PM . The pre-orientation experience option is shown as 2 hours long. It includes the 30-minute pre-orientation experience and then self-guided time in the Museum. You can off course spend longer than 90 minutes in the Museum if you want, but this is the minimum amount of time you should allow.
Please enter the Museum main entrance on 82nd Street and meet your tour guide by the Egyptian statue that is located to the right as you enter the Great Hall Entrance Lobby.
