Explore the dramatic red rock formations that give the park its name while you scramble and climb through boulders, crevices, brush, peaks, and plateaus.Wait for your Las Vegas hotel pickup, and travel by jeep or van 55 miles (89 km) to Valley of Fire State Park, the oldest state park in Nevada.Enter the park and glimpse Lake Mead, the largest man-made lake in the United States. Once inside Valley of Fire State Park, follow your guide to the trailhead for your hike. Learn about the geological forces — including faulting and erosion — that created the distinctive red rock formations. Discover the various American Indian tribes that have called the park home for thousands of years. Relax on your periodic breaks to take photos of the gorgeous natural landscape and recharge with complimentary snacks and water.

- A good level of fitness is required
- Hiking closed-toed shoes are recommended but athletic shoes with gripping soles also work great for most customers
- Healthy snacks are included but clients with allergies should bring their own
- Bottled water is included in the tour package but it is recommended to bring your own hydration pack/Camelback if planning in advance for moderate hikes where you may wish to have your hands free
- Bring your hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and lip balm
- There are bees during the spring and summer months along the trail so allergies should be considered
