Benefit from pick-up at your accommodation in New Orleans, and then make your way to the Oak Alley Plantation in Vacherie for your guided walking tour of its grounds. Oak Alley was named after the 28 huge oak trees that line the road leading up to – and pre-dating – the plantation house.

After your plantation tour we will head down to Westwego Louisiana where you have a chance to enjoy a sit down lunch (AT OWN EXPENSE).

After lunch we will take you across the Cajun Swamp where you take a 90 minutes cover pontoon low-speed boat ride. The Captains will navigate their way through the swamp. You will learn about Louisiana Wetlands, the inhabitants of the swamp, the life and habits of the American Alligators.
