Arusha National Park is considered to be the perfect starter for visitors Before Mount Kilimanjaro climbs or before safari on to bigger game parks. But it also presents many opportunities to travelers. It’s a 40 minute drive from Arusha and 1 hour drive from Moshi, and about 60 kilometers from the international airport.
The best way to experience it is on foot. The park has some of the most spectacular scenery you can feast your eyes on. To start with, there’s Mount Meru.. The Momella Lakes present in the park are soda-lakes, shallow and alkaline so this make a breeding paradise for flamingos. The Ngurdoto Crater
The walking safari takes 2 to 3 hours during which you cross the Jekukumia River and visit a beautiful waterfall where you can take a refreshing ‘shower’
In Arusha national park you can spot the Variety of monkey, Giraffes, zebras, Flamingos, serval cat, warthogs, Buffalos, Elephants, Elands, Hippos Birds species and you may even find the leopard, if you’re really lucky.
