Picked –up in the morning in Arusha/ Moshi and drive in comfort to Tarangire National Park with picnic lunches. The park runs along the line of the Tarangire River and is mainly made up of low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor. Its natural vegetation mainly consists of Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, with huge swamp areas in the south. The birdlife in Tarangire is outstanding, sitting directly underneath a flyby between southern Africa and Europe, capturing migrants from both hemispheres. Leopards are particularly abundant here, as giraffe. But above all are the large numbers of elephant families that concentrate in the park during the dry season in search of precious water in the Tarangire River. This area is very good for herbivores (plant eaters) and you stand a good chance to see Giraffe, Impala, Dik dik and many more. Late afternoon we depart for Moshi/Arusha
