Mount Meru - Guided Hike

You will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel in Arusha for overnight stay Day 1: *Trek through open grassland to see grazing animals like buffalo, warthogs *Through Montane Forest, then lunch, then onto see an abundance of birds and Colombus monkeys. You will reach Miriakamba Hut Day 2: *Slowly ascend through lush Montane Forest to Elephant Ridge *Excellent views of the summit ridge and across the crater floor. *Reach Saddle Hut, where lunch will be provided. *You can make the short climb to the nearby summit of Little Meru (3,820m) for superb views just before sunset Day 3: *02:00 start the steep climb to Rhino Point then to reach Cobra Point (4,350m) at sunrise *See the Crater rim, Ash Cone rising from the Crater floor, Kilimanjaro floating on morning clouds and west towards the Rift Valley. *Summit of Socialist Peak (4,566m) good but steep path. Day 4: *Miriakamba Hut through open grassland and mixed forest, seeing wildlife *Reach Momella Gate, 3 hours walk
