To guarantee a safe and pleasant swimming experience, it’s advisable to consult your tour guide.. Key regulations at Maya Bay comprise a prohibition on swimming, a ban on single-use plastics, the requirement to use reef-safe sunscreen, and restrictions against using drones without authorization.. Thailand's Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation has announced that Maya Bay will be closed annually for a period of two months, specifically in August and September..
