The Baan Hongnual Cookery School offers an immersive cooking experience, blending hands-on culinary training with a cultural market visit. Located in a traditional Lanna-style house in a peaceful setting near Chiang Mai, this cookery session introduces participants to the flavors and techniques of authentic Thai cuisine. The experience begins with a guided tour of a local market, where you’ll learn about essential Thai ingredients, herbs, and spices. The knowledgeable guide explains how each ingredient is selected and its role in Thai cooking.
After the market visit, participants return to the cooking school to learn how to prepare traditional Thai dishes, like Pad Thai, Green Curry, Tom Yum Soup, and mango sticky rice. Each cooking station is set up for individuals, ensuring a personalized experience. Instructors walk participants through each step, offering tips on preparation techniques and cooking methods to bring out the rich, balanced flavors of Thai cuisine.
