Explore Bangkok's iconic temples, Wat Pho and Wat Arun, on a 3-hour tour starting daily at 15:30. Your expert English-speaking guide will lead the way.
Begin at Wat Pho, known for its massive Reclining Buddha statue. Covering 20 acres, it's Bangkok's largest and oldest temple, predating the city's status as Thailand's capital by about 200 years.
The Reclining Buddha, 46 meters long and 15 meters high, depicts the Buddha's passage into nirvana. Wat Pho's grounds house over 1000 Buddha images, many salvaged from Ayutthaya and Sukhothai.
Afterwards, stroll to Tha Tien pier for a ferry ride to Thonburi. Here, discover Wat Arun, or the Temple of Dawn, named after the Indian god Aruna. Its towering spire, over 70 meters high, symbolizes Mount Meru, abode of the gods, making it one of Bangkok's most iconic landmarks.
