No wonder that it is listed as a UNESCO heritage. The chateaus appearance which we can see today, dates to 1846-1858, when Prince Alois II decided that Lednice is the ideal place for summer fun. The chateau was rebuilt into a summer palace. The Original Lednice chateau, resembling more a fortress, was standing there since 13th century.
