Your journey will begin at the Astoria Hotel which was considered the most modern at the beginning of the 20th century. You will meet with the history of the Ovchinnikov silverware store and the Imperial Society for the Encouragement of the Arts in whose school Shishkin once taught. You will see where the building of Sazikov's company, one of the oldest jewelry enterprises in Russia, was located, the shop of gold and diamond crafts of the master Friedrich-Daniel Butz, and of course the house-studio of Carl Faberge himself.
Many of these jewelers held the honorary title of Supplier to His Imperial Majesty's Court and supplied their products to members of the Imperial family. You will have a unique opportunity to learn the story of their success, how they created their works, where they studied jewelry.
