The diversity of the objectives met on the way is great: mountain landscapes, hills, forests, traditional villages, historical vestiges (Curtea de Arges Monastery, Poienari Citadel), engineering innovations (Vidraru water storage Dam) and Transfagarasan itself. At its top, the height of the way is a little more than 2000 meters, crossing the highest chain of the Carpathians: the Fagaras Mountains.
