James Tayler's Seat and Loolkadura Tea Estate tour from Kandy

Your tour starts with a pick-up from your hotel in Kandy at 7.00am to travel for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to the start point of your guided tea experience of the Loolecondera Tea Estate. There, you will be chaperoned by a local English speaking naturalist. You will experience a 6-hour long tour in the tea plantation, James Taylor seat, James Taylor statue, Loolecondera tea factory, James Taylor Log Cabin, and weighing stations.Loolecondera tea estate for the first tea plantation started by James Taylor in the year 1867. It started with a land area of around 19 acres which rapidly grew with time. In 1872 he started the tea factory with his latest invention of the tea leaves cutting the machine. From the weighing stations observe the tea pluckers in their colorful sarees with their burgeoning bags of tea leaves as they weigh daily harvest using the original equipment used in the initial days of the Loolecondera Estate.
