A once-upon-a-time royal retreat, Ko Si Chang is a little-visited jewel just a short boat trip away from Pattaya. You'll cruise on over to spend the day exploring palaces, Buddhist temples, feasting on the famous local food and relaxing away the afternoon on its pristine beaches. A perfect combination of culture and relaxation. After a quick transfer to Sriracha Pier, we'll set off into the open seas towards Ko Si Chang. The trip is about an hour long and, on landing, you'll hop aboard a local type of tuk-tuk to wind your way up to Chao Pho Khao Yai, an ornate Chinese temple. From here you'll have great views over the entire island before we set off to the former royal palace, Phra Chudadhut. Among the highlights is a rare Sri Lankan-style stupa. And after a good dose of history and culture – as well as panoramic views –we'll head to a restaurant for a lunch of local specialities. The afternoon is yours to sunbathe, swim and sleep off your lunch at the beach.
