Canyoning Experience and Furnas Village Tour

The perfect way to spend the day with family or friends, with an adventurous morning and a relaxing afternoon to explore some of the best the island has to offer: beautiful nature, great food, thermal hot-springs, good company and of course a lot of fun!Upon arrival, you'll proceed with the distribution of your personal equipment and then set off on a short walk of approximately 15 minutes to the first stop, where you'll have your first safety briefing. Then you'll continue on a short scramble uphill, where you'll stop for a second safety briefing. There you'll learn how to rappel before continuing onwards and upwards for another 10 minutes to the start of the canyon.After reaching the top of the canyon, you will start the second part of your adventure - the canyoning experience. You can expect several jumps (between 2 and 7 meters in height, all optional), a natural slide and some abseils (between 5 and 15 meters in height). After that, you'll walk back along the initial path to the starting point.After the canyoning experience, it’s time for a well-deserved lunch. You'll visit the village of Furnas, where you will taste a traditional dish “Cozido das Furnas” in a local restaurant. You'll then take a short walk to the Caldeiras Vulcânicas to get a closer look at the fumarolic fields and hot springs. Afterward, visit the volcanic calderas and choose between a relaxing bath in the thermal waters of Parque Terra Nostra or Poça da Dona Beja (entrance tickets not included).
