The Upper Douro wine area is one of the locations that UNESCO considers to be World Heritage because of its distinctive and beautiful terrain.
There are many reasons for us to visit this gorgeous area, but the main one is our desire to see the place where renowned wines are made. On the terraces of the Douro Valleys, this nectar, which was given the name Port Wine in honor of the 17th century, thrives and ripens here.
The Douro, the first wine area in the world to be clearly defined and subject to regulations, is separated into Baixo Corgo, Cima Corgo, and Upper Douro, each of which has a distinctive environment and climate.
The Douro River Course can be followed if you want to take in the stunning landscape. You have the chance to participate in the grape harvest and the labor at the "Lagares" (Mills) at the many farms in the area during the harvest season.
