This experience offers a unique perspective through Portugal’s history, from colonialism and dictatorship to the revolution and post-revolution movements. It highlights the often-overlooked impact of colonialism on Black and Indigenous communities whose histories are deeply intertwined with Portugal’s.
Along the way, we’ll discover the stories of impactful LGBTQ+ figures who fought for laws to protect and build rights for the community, shaping the contemporary queer movements in Portugal.
Our journey ends at a queer-owned venue, where we’ll come together to enjoy delicious Afro-Brazilian tapas, celebrating both culture and community.
We also provide a beautifully curated Queer Map of Lisbon, featuring detailed information about venues, artists, and services, all handpicked by locals.
