What To Expect
Come and discover the Algarve 230 metres underground in the rock salt mine.
Be amazed by geological formations that are 230 million years old.
Walk 1.3 kilometres along a simple but very mysterious route where the mining methods are explained to you.
The 2-hour guided tour ends with a fantastic exhibition of Santa Barbara, the patron saint of miners.
At the end of the tour, you'll receive a "Welcome Pack" which includes a bottle of Portuguese red wine and a jar of flor de sal, the best and most exquisite salt in the world.
