Half-Day-Orange Picking &Jam Cooking/Lunch with the Orange Farmer

This half-day day tour will introduce you to the fascinating history of Silves and its citrus cultivation, immersed in rural Algarve.
We start the tour in the morning at pick up point at Silves municipal market. We will then pick up the car and move to the final location, an organic orange farm where a passionate farmer will describe the different varieties of citrus and production techniques, as well as various tips from irrigation to collection. You will pick the fruit yourself and taste a fresh orange juice inside the farmer's house, kindly opening its door for an amazing traditional lunch. After picking, we will prepare a delicious orange jams with the farmer for you to take away and enjoy for next days you are going to spend in Algarve!
