Since it’s a private tour, the service is exclusive and tailored to your tempo and interests. After a 2.5-hour drive and a pleasant chat with your guide, you arrive at the Majdanek museum in the suburbs of Lublin city. Four sections of the camp are preserved - the selection square together with shower barracks and gas chambers, the technical barracks that host museum’s exhibitions, the complete field of barracks and the crematory with pits and an urn of ashes. Barbed wires and guard towers surround the area. The walk with your guide takes approx. 2-3 hours. You will have time to read the materials in the exhibition barracks and visit the place in your tempo. After visiting the camp, the guide will take you to Lublin’s picturesque and historic Old Town. The district is one of Poland's official national historical monuments, as designated on May 16, 2007, and tracked by Poland’s National Heritage Board. The lunch break is possible in one of the local restaurants.
