Transfer from Krakow to Bochnia to see the oldest salt mine in Poland with a beautiful underground chapel. It features 300 kilometres of galleries filled with works of art and statues sculpted in salt. It was added to the UNESCO list in 2013. Discover the oldest Bochnia mine workings, where rock salt was mined from the Middle Ages to the early twentieth century. Learn what the work of medieval miners looked like and what dangers it as associated with. See how a treasure of UNESCO world heritage was created through the hard work of human beings.
Transfer to Tarnow, a charming little city with originally preserved Old Town dating back to XVI century. Visit the second largest complex of historic sites in Małopolska (Little Poland province) and the graves of the owners of Tarnów in the cathedral. See the place from which the first transport of prisoners to Auschwitz left. Enjoy coffee break in one of the kosher cafes.
The last stop will be Zalipie, the real pearl of the rural Poland, with picturesque little houses painted in flowery patterns. Visiting this village makes you feel as if you travelled in time. Transfer back to Krakow.
