The Estadio Inca Garcilaso de la Vega is one of the most emblematic sports venues in Peru. Inaugurated in 1950, it is named after the celebrated chronicler Inca Garcilaso de la Vega, in recognition of his valuable contribution to Peruvian literature and history. Although originally built to host local and regional sporting events, it has eventually established itself as the main stadium in the region.
