Visit the hidden city of Machu Picchu and learn about its fascinating story.Be ready for the pickup from your hotel in Cusco. Travel to Ollantaytambo Station to board the train to Aguas Calientes. Enjoy a scenic train journey through dramatic Andean landscapes. The train has spacious seating with large windows that allow views of the surrounding jungle and mountains.Board a coach for a 25-minute ride to Machu Picchu. The city of Machu Pichu is believed to have been built in the 1450s by the Inca emperor Pachacuti as a holiday retreat. Within a century the city would be abandoned following the Spanish conquest. The Spanish never found it, so it was spared the destruction that led to other Inca sites. Instead, it was slowly swallowed up by the jungle and hidden from harm.Take a guided tour of the site and learn about its most prominent landmarks such as the monumental Main Square, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows, and the Circular Towers. After the tour, return to Aguas Calientes where you can take some free time to explore the city, on your own. Then go back to Aguas Calientes station to take the train back to the Ollantaytambo Station and return to your hotel.Choose between the different options:
- "Option 1" Tourist train (no lunch): Expedition or Voyager Train
- "Option 2" Tourist train (with lunch): Expedition or Voyager Train
- "Option 3" Superior train (no lunch): Vistadome or 360° Train
- "Option 4" Superior train (with lunch): Vistadome or 360° Train

Know in advance:
- Tickets to Machu Picchu are subject to availability. You must send immediately your data (name and surname as it appears on your passport, document number, date of birth and nationality) to issue the tickets. Once the information is obtained, your reservation will be approved. Please note that, after your entry is issued, changes to personal data or date of entry are not allowed
- To preserve the Historical Sanctuary of Machu Picchu, as well as its condition as World Heritage, the Ministry of Culture has established different circuits to visit it. Keep in mind, that either Circuit 2 or 3 will be assigned upon availability
- Do not schedule activities or return flights on the same day of your tour to Machu Picchu as this tour ends between 8:00 PM and 10:00 PM
- Hotel pickup times are between 4:00 AM and 8:00 AM. The exact time will be confirmed a day before
- The guided tour lasts about 2 hours and a half and will be operated by a multi-lingual guide
- Lunch will be included only if the option (with lunch) is selected
- The minimum age to participate is 3 years old

- Local currency, as some sites do not accept credit cards
