The Mountain of 7 Colors or Rainbow Mountain (Rainbow Mountain) or better known by locals as Cerro Colorado, is located in Vinicunca, province of Quipicanchis, department of Cusco. Its geological formations reveal all their splendor, in contrast to the blue sky, forming a formidable barrier between the coastal desert and the Amazon jungle.
The Vinicunca mountains are one of the spectacular places in the Vilcanota mountain range, awaiting a natural coloration, this coloration is due to the presence of sedimentary stones in erosion. What is impressive is how the stones have been formed to form a set of seven colors. The height of the mountain is approximately 5,000 meters above sea level.
