What To Expect
During this tour you'll explore the Inca monuments of the Sacred Valley and the beautiful Inca citadel of Machu Picchu. The Inca citadel of Machu Picchu is a unique place in South America. The citadel was abandoned by the Inca civilization in the XVI century. It remained hidden until the XX century, when it was rediscovered by the American explorer Hiram Bingham. Machu Picchu is often considered as the "lost" city of the Incas. After its rediscovery some historians theorized that Machu Picchu could be the legendary city of "El Dorado". Nowadays, it's believed that Machu Picchu was an Inca royal state and religious monument.
