The families we will visit are members of local agricultural cooperatives and through these cooperatives they have been able to obtain organic and fair trade certification.
During the tour, you will discover a Peruvian province (La Convencion) in the mountainous jungle that tourists rarely visit.
Once there, you will be completely immersed in the life of the family, meeting the farmers, visiting the farm, picking and tasting local fruits.
Afterwards, you will learn and experience for yourself the different steps of making a product that you frequently consume: chocolate.
As a family, couple or small group, accompanied by the farmers, participate in all the traditional stages of cocoa production, from picking to tasting.
Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller. Service animals allowed. Infants are required to sit on an adult’s lap. Not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries. Not recommended for pregnant travelers. Suitable for all physical fitness levels
Early in the morning (5 AM), we will pick you up from your hotel as we depart for the farm with our private driver.
On the way, we will make stops at beautiful point of views to please our eyes and to take pictures.
We prefer to pick you up from your hotel in Cusco or Ollantaytamo or Urubamba town.
