The first, located to the north, is urban. One can still find there the dwellings reserved for the nobility and some religious buildings (temple of the Sun, mausoleum of the Inca...).
The second, facing south, is rural. It is made up of a set of cultivated terraces – giving the appearance of gigantic staircases cut into the side of the mountain – and irrigation canals.
You enjoy an exceptional experience aboard the tourist train. Then head for the Sacred Valley, its typical villages and its legendary sites. You spend two unique days in a small Andean town: Aguas Calientes.
