Fortress, sanctuary, astronomical observatory? Are the interpretations for this enigmatic monument of classic Inca architecture that rises to 4, 300 meters above sea level, in the abysses of the canyon of the Apurímac river, to the south of the city of Cusco.
This enigmatic fortress is built on top of the Waqrapukara mountain and offers us a landscape of mountain ranges that are lost in the horizon, as well as gigantic rock formations that give depth to the Apurimac river valley. The ecological floors that we will travel are Quechua, Suni, and Puna, observing its characteristic flora and fauna.
