We will admire the wildlife and vegetation of the rainforest, as well as Monkey Island, where you can admire white-faced capuchin monkeys, marmosets and howler monkeys in their natural habitat.
This is for those looking to witness the spectacular scenery of the rainforests in the Panama Canal watershed. Just a short trip out of the city, the Gatun Lake & Monkey Islands expedition has a mix of history, wildlife, nature and the unique experience of traveling by boat through the Panama Canal alongside cargo ships.
Your guide can take you as close as possible to the monkeys and other animals, but always taking care not to disturb them in their natural habitat or alter their natural feeding patterns.
Later we will visit the "Sloth Sanctuary" to observe rescued three-toed and two-toed sloths. We will learn about the life and habits of the sloths and the conservation efforts of the species from volunteers and specialized guides.
