Fly to the vines with Altitude Tours on a Helicopter Wine Tour.
Start your day being met by the helicopter company at your Queenstown accommodation and enjoy a scenic helicopter flight giving you aerial views of the stunning vines and famous wine-growing region, before landing on a mountaintop for a glass of bubbles (sparkling wine).
Your helicopter will land at your first cellar door where you will meet your guide and be hosted across four separate tasting experiences, including a tour of the Gibbston Valley Winery wine cave. Throughout the day you will be entertained with local winemaking facts and stories, and you also have the option of indulging in a delicious lunch at a local winery (additional cost ordered on the day).
This helicopter wine tour is all about taking a regular wine-tasting journey to new heights and pairing good wine and good people, tasting the best wines produced in New Zealand, including our world-famous Pinot Noir.
Not recommended for pregnant travelers. Public transportation options are available nearby. Suitable for all physical fitness levels. Minimum drinking age is 18 years. We recommend that you bring your passport or NZ drivers license with you.. During the day we allow additional time at Kinross Cellar Door to enjoy lunch. While lunch isn't included in the tour price, this is because Kinross offers a broad menu, allowing you to select something for your taste and budget.. Not suitable for those under 18 years old
You will be collected by our helicopter partner The Helicopter Line at approx. 9:15am and taken to their base for a safety briefing prior to your 10am flight. Pick-ups are available at a range of hotels and bus stops around Queenstown and Frankton.
After you book the Altitude Tours team will send through reconfirmation of your pick-up time and location and can help answer any questions you may have leading up to the day.
