While not an old city by global standards, Auckland nonetheless has a fascinating past that has shaped the vibrant city we know today. On this two part journey we will uncover Auckland's original history, from the arrival of Maori to European settlement. We'll learn how the city has grown to be one of the most multi-cultural cities in the world and discuss what its future holds.
We'll begin on foot for approximately 45-minutes, exploring the inner city and downtown waterfront. From there, we will embark on a short drive in our Tesla SUV to take in Auckland's sparkling harbour and inner city beach suburbs. We'll see where the rich and famous live, while also sampling some 'traditional' Kiwi morning/afternoon tea treats beside the beach.
Driving past some of Auckland's 48 volcanic cones, we will end our time together inside the majestic Auckland Museum, where we'll dive further into the history of our city.
