During spring, the forest on Phulchoki blooms with various species of wildflowers, including the national flower of the country, the Rhododendron. Phulchoki is a high hill in Kathmandu valley, reaching an elevation of 2782 m above sea level. The hill is home to various species of flora and fauna, making it a beautiful place.
Bird lovers will find Phulchoki to be an excellent destination for birding tours, as it houses around 265 species of birds. Some of these include tits, warblers, woodpeckers, thrushes, minivets, eagles, and migrant birds. After this enjoyable birdwatching hike, you can drive back to Kathmandu.
