Kopan Monastery is a study center for Monks such as Buddhist study, meditation, retreat, and Buddhism practice. Boudhanath and Swoyambhunath are two Buddhist UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu.
The full-day tour is a peaceful way to see these two World Heritage Sites and Kopan Monastery, a path to ultimate happiness and freedom. The tour begins at 9 am from your hotel in a private car. It takes to Kopan to explore peace and knowledge. Next stop tour the immense Boudhanath Stupa. This is home to the largest Tibetan community outside of Tibet.
The next stop is then Swayambhu or “Monkey Temple”. Located on a hillock, it affords a wonderful view of the Kathmandu Valley. The site is approximately 2000 years old and features a large stupa. While it is primarily a Buddhist holy site, this place helps to understand the unique synergy between Hinduism and Buddhism which only exists in Nepal. A small-group tour includes a private guide.
