Bhaktapur Durbar Square is one of the largest medieval period Durbar Square in Kathmandu valley. It is located in the Bhaktapur district which is 13 km away from the capital city Kathmandu. Bhaktapur is like an open museum, one can observe the historical architecture, monuments, shrines and artistic wooden and metal works in and around the area. Bhaktapur Durbar square is also enlisted as UNESCO world heritage site in 1979.
Another destination is Changunarayan which is few miles away from Bhaktapur. Chagunarayan is believed to be oldest Hindu temple in the history of Nepal. Most of the people visit Changunarayan on the way to Nagarkot by hiking or vehicle. This temple is also renowned as world heritage sites by UNESCO.
