What To Expect
Embark on a fully supported teahouse-based trek to the sacred lakes of Gosainkund, situated in the Helambu region, just a day's drive away from Kathmandu. This relatively isolated region is predominantly inhabited by the Tamangs and Helambu Sherpas, who originated in Tibet. A highlight of the trek is a visit to Kyanjin Gompa, a Buddhist monastery located in a spectacular sub-alpine setting at 3800m. Traverse several passes that offer impressive views en route to the sacred lakes of Gosainkund. The trek presents brilliant views of the mighty Langtang (7234m) and Ganesh (7446m) peaks and a sprawl of endless summits over 6000m. Experience authentic cultural interaction in a less-traveled region of the Himalayas while marveling at stunning views and high-altitude lakes.
