Budhanilkantha to Nagi Gumba hike is an incredible days trip that begins with a visit to the Narayanthan Temple where, you’ll visit the sacred site of sleeping Hindu deity (Sleeping Bishnu), resting atop a bed of serpents. Your guide will explain the background of this unique Hindu figure then start hiking for 2.5 hrs through Shivapuri Conservation area and visit the Nagi Gumba(1650m), a Buddhist monastery for nuns. Upon reaching the top of the hill you will have the breathtaking views of Ganesh Himal and Langtang Himalayas and the amazing views of Kathmandu Valley. We then hike downhill same way back to Budhanilkantha or walk for 1.5 to 2 hours to the Kopan Monastery, a Tibetan style monastery established in 1975. You will then conclude your day trip driving back to Kathmandu.
