Australian Camp and Dhampus are two scenic hilltop villages located near Pokhara, Nepal, offering stunning panoramic views of the Himalayas.
Australian Camp, situated at an altitude of 2,050 meters, is a popular hiking destination that offers breathtaking views of the Annapurna range, including Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), and Lamjung Himal. The trail to Australian Camp is well-marked and relatively easy, making it suitable for hikers of all levels.
Dhampus, located at an altitude of 1,750 meters, is another picturesque village that offers stunning views of the Annapurna range. The village is known for its traditional Gurung culture and architecture, and hikers can explore the village and interact with the friendly locals. The hike to Dhampus is slightly more challenging than the one to Australian Camp but is still manageable for most hikers.
