3-day Poon Hill Sunrise trek starts and ends in Pokhara.
The Poon Hill Trek is a short but rewarding trek in the Annapurna region of Nepal. The trek starts in Nayapul and ends in Nayapul, and takes 3 days to complete.
On Day 01, Monring drive from Pokhara to Nayapul and hike to Tikhedunga. The hike is relatively easy, and takes about 3 ½ hours. You will pass through small villages and rhododendron forests.
On Day 02, you will trek to Ghorepani. The trek is more challenging, but the views are stunning. You will climb through rhododendron forests and meadows, and pass by traditional Nepali villages.
On Day 03, you will hike to Poon Hill to watch the sunrise. The sunrise from Poon Hill is one of the most iconic views in Nepal. You will see a panorama of the Annapurna mountain range, including Annapurna I, Machhapuchhre, and Dhaulagiri. After sunrise, you will trek back to Ghorepani for breakfast, and then start your descent to Nayapul. And drop to your hotel in Pokhara.
