Zaanse Schans is a small village located just 20 km from Amsterdam.
Here time seems to have stopped: green wooden houses, canals, wooden bridges and windmills are the scenery in front of which you will find yourself. This small village that sits on the banks of the Zaan River is a find.
Besides visiting the village and learning a lot about Holland and the Dutch people, we will stop at a cheese factory to taste Dutch cheese and also see how the famous wooden clog is made today.
