What To Expect
Rio Secreto Natural Reserve has evolved by adding on to its great adventure catalog Rio Secreto Plus, the most spectacular tour in the Mexican Caribbean. This tour includes the traditional Rio Secreto experience that offers a trip through Xibalbá (The Mayan Underworld), a walk through its caves, a swim in the completely nature-created underground rivers, and the opportunity to admire the breathtaking formations that tell about the geological changes they have undergone throughout history.

Infants are required to sit on an adult’s lap. Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health. Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness. Wear comfortable clothing, water shoes and swimsuit. Bring a change of clothes and extra money in cash or card (Visa or MasterCard) for souvenirs, photos, tips or additional expenses. Please avoid the use of chemical products (sunscreen, insect repellant, makeup, etc.. Maximum weight: 120kg/250lb. Groups of 10 participants maximum. The sequences of the activities may vary according to internal logistic. Cameras or camcorders are not allowed inside the underground river. This activity is not recommended for pregnant women or persons with difficult to perform physical activities, heart problems or under alcohol influence or any other substances damaging to health..
