Fez to Chefchaouen One Day Trip

Traveling from Fez to Chefchaouen for the day will allow you to take in some of the best examples of Mediterranean art. Located at the base of the horn-shaped mountains of Megou and Tisouka sits the city of Chefchaouen. During the first wave of the Spanish invasion of Northern Morocco, the locals here built the city you see today. They constructed it as a safe house for the rebels. In fact, "Look at the horns" is the Tamazight translation of the name Chefchaouen (Moroccan Native Language).
