Kibera Slum Children Home Visit allows you to experience the heartbeat of charity work in Kenya. You’ll meet the children who are at the center of the slum, see where they’ve come from, and understand the transformational difference the home has made in their lives. Additionally you’ll witness firsthand the passion of Kenyan staff members have for every child as they pour into their lives.
Along with the children, you’ll meet a dedicated Kenyan team members and learn about the daily joys and struggles that come with raising the children in their care and creating a family environment. You’ll also be brought face to face with the struggle of poverty, wrestling through how that intersects with your life.
You will be guided through the slum by our dedicated guide who was born and raised in the slum and you will be able to get first hand information about the slum and get hosted in a slum family set up.
Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller. Service animals allowed. Public transportation options are available nearby. Infants are required to sit on an adult’s lap. Not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries. Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health. Suitable for all physical fitness levels. Stroller Maximum age for Children is 6 years.
Guests can also get dropped off at their hotel or apartment.
