This fascinating 8-day cultural and wildlife tour will appeal to anyone that wants to both meet and help Kenyan people in grassroots social enterprises, and go on a safari in a sustainable way at a conservancy where wildlife flourishes and communities thrive.
The first 4 days of this tour takes you to Laikipia Plateau near Mount Kenya, which is dedicated to wildlife conservation while working with the local Samburu and Maasai people. It offers an authentic safari experience for all guests and activities can be as easy or energetic as you like. You can take leisurely safari walks, ride a camel or hope in a 4 wheel drive vehicle for game viewing.
Once back in Nairobi, you will have the privilege of meeting three communities and see how Kenyans are overcoming poverty. We take you to a community of grandmothers starting small businesses, a women’s vocational training centre for young mothers; and a Maasai village to experience the traditional ways of life. Three inspirational days.
